MEET PAUL

“Serving the people of Adams County is a tremendous honor. I have worked hard these past few years to be a full-time commissioner and to address the issues and concerns that affect our citizens. I am very proud of the accomplishments of our board and I’m looking forward to continuing that work for another four years. I am running for re-election because I want to continue to serve the people and the community that I love.”

Paul was born and raised in the town of Peebles in Adams County, Ohio. As a student, he was a leader and an athlete. Paul earned the Eagle Scout Award, the highest honor in Boy Scouting. He was also captain of the Peebles Indians Varsity Basketball team and Senior Class President. Paul attended Bowling Green State University on a Reserve Officer Training Corps Scholarship. He graduated with a degree in History in 2004.

Prior to his election as commissioner in 2012, Worley was an officer in the active duty US Army, earning the rank of Captain. He served three tours of duty in support of the Global War on Terrorism - two tours in Iraq and one in Afghanistan. He was also awarded two Bronze Stars for meritorious service in Iraq. His other decorations and awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Ranger Tab, Combat Infantry Badge, Expert Infantry Badge, Parachutists Badge, and Air Assault Badge.
